Summary: This position plays a key role in coordinating provider education and auditing coding and documentation practices. You will ensure compliance with current coding guidelines and insurance company requirements through meticulous audits. Attention to detail is crucial as you identify and communicate coding and documentation deficiencies, provide timely feedback to providers and coders, and support the implementation of new coding policies. Responsibilities: Conduct regular audits on providers and coders, delivering audit results promptly and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Collaborate with billing staff to resolve coding-related claim rejections or denials. Facilitate communication with providers regarding coding clarifications and documentation requirements. Stay updated with ICD-10 and CPT coding changes and insurance company guidelines. Develop educational materials and provide training sessions to enhance coding accuracy and compliance. Act as a liaison between billing departments, providers, and external stakeholders. Assist in researching and implementing billable codes for optimal reimbursement. Support the Billing Manager and leadership in strategic initiatives related to coding and documentation. Qualifications: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 1 year of Coding Educator experience. Minimum 2 years of Coding and Auditing experience, preferably in Behavioral Health and Family Practice. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
