Transportation Driver

Summary Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader the Transportation Driver will be a self-motivated professional who is responsible for the care and safety of students (Elementary, Junior High and Full-time) enrolled in Kribs 2 Kollege, to and from school (daily), in addition to scheduled field trips. The Transportation Driver will assist in assuring that all policies and procedures of Transportation are carried out. The Transportation Driver will be responsible for the daily care and upkeep of the vehicle including daily inspections and transporting vehicle for maintenance and repairs. Duties Knowledge of licensing (Bright from the Start and Quality Rated).
o Ability to read road maps, directions and to effectively follow a GPS Navigation System.
o Ability to load and unload passengers along with belongings.
o Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
o Ability to follow detailed instructions.
o Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
o Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles exterior and interior.
o Reports any vehicles malfunctions or repairs as needed.
o Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption or fares received.
o Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules.
o Maintain knowledge of First Aid procedures.
o Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
o Must be non-judgmental, caring, self-directed and organized.
o Ability to plan and execute the most efficient travel routes possible.
o Always operate vehicles in a safe and prudent manner.
o Attends staff meetings and other meetings, as requested.
o Performs other job-related duties as required. Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the Transportation Driver must perform the following demands:
o Frequently walks, stands, and sits. Reach with hand and arms. Stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, or crawl.
o Ability to lift and carry up to seventy (75) five pounds, or a child, in case of an emergency.
o Required to drive a motor vehicle.
o Supervise and assist, as needed, children who are in your direct care. Nice To Haves
