Job
Summary:

The Associate Director of Transfer Admission is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of Spring and Fall transfer students in the College of Liberal Arts. The Associate Director conducts the admission selection process for all College of Liberal Arts transfer students and supports the communication strategies for prospective and accepted transfer students. Additionally, the Associate Director of Transfer Admission will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of a comprehensive recruitment plan and admission counseling for new transfer students which includes community college transfers, reactivations, non-degree seeking students, and other special populations. This position incorporates a full range of admissions responsibilities, including establishing and strengthening recruitment, admissions, communications, yield and retention strategies that will increase transfer enrollment at Rollins. Also, the Associate Director will work closely with the Director of Graduate and Transfer Enrollment to set forth best practices and policies related to the strategic goals and priorities for the CLA admission office. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist in collecting necessary documents for admission, read applications and make admission decisions on transfer applicants.
  • Create positive relationships with prospective students, applicants and parents using a personalized approach that supports enrollment.
  • Leverage and analyze data to evaluate ROI on outreach and recruitment efforts.
  • Administer the search, marketing, application generation and lead nurturing of transfer students.
  • Manage and coordinate on- and off-campus events for prospective transfers (i.e. college fairs, community/state college visits, etc.).
  • Attend recruitment events hosted by the College (i.e. Discover Rollins and Experience Rollins).
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with state college advisors and other representatives.
  • Play an active role in the transfer student course registration process and help create a seamless transfer experience.
  • Stay on top of current research and trends on transfer enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications
& Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with transfer populations or other non-traditional students in an admission, advising or student success setting.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Preferred
Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited University or College.
  • Experience working with systems such as Slate and/or other CRM.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of credit transfer processes and articulation agreements.
  • Must possess strong leadership and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. Data access and reporting skills.
  • Must have excellent computer, grammatical, and editing skills, as well as verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Knowledge of enrollment planning, recruitment, and communication strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to take responsibility for assigned projects from beginning to completion with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge and practice of organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and follow through. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner using good business etiquette.
  • Strong cross-cultural, cross-generational, and interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment.
  • Regular use of a computer and databases.
  • Must be able to travel and participate in work-related events (local, domestic, and international) and work flexible hours which include evenings and weekends.
