Overview:

Companion Animal Hospital River North, located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, IL , is looking for an experienced, full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team! We are proud to be a Fear Free and Cat Friendly Certified Practice.

About our clinic: Companion Animal Hospital River North is a full-service small animal hospital that treats dogs and cats. Our state-of-the-art, three-story hospital was built in 2018. We boast a collaborative environment, healthy work-life balance, and diverse a team with low turnover .

Our hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography and ultrasound . We also have therapeutic laser , PRP , Vetrostim , and stem cell therapy . Each doctor also has a dedicated doctor's assistant , who helps with client communication, taking medical histories, assisting during exams, and making treatment plans. Charting and documentation is made easy with the use of eVet, our electronic medical records software.

At CAH River North, we perform a large variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and orthopedic surgeries . Our medical director, Dr. Amanda Schnitker, completed a specialty surgical internship and additional training in the TTA procedure , and is experienced with multiple CCL repair procedures, patellar luxations, simple fractures, and most advanced soft tissue surgeries.

Our doctors rotate through a schedule of opening, mid, and closing shifts and usually 1 weekend per month. There are no on-call responsibilities since we have several referral/emergency locations nearby. You can learn more about our incredible practice at companionrn.com.

Ideal qualifications:

• Seeking experienced (1+ years) DVMs only
• Illinois Veterinary License – active and in good standing
• Team-oriented mentality that supports our close-knit family culture
