Catering Manager-Jamestown Hospitality Group

Jamestown Hospitality Group is a growing collection of restaurants and catering venues, that include Tonic Seafood and Steak, TBG Braeloch Brewing, Park Café, Juniper, Jamestown Catering, Giordano's and Deep Blue.

We are looking for an Catering Event Manager to assist with our Catering Department.

The Catering Event Manager is a great opportunity to join Jamestown Catering. We are looking for a responsible employee to assist our Catering Director get ready for events so we can ensure the best service to our customers.

Catering Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to help them plan their events
  • Coordinate staffing, rentals and menus with clients
  • Assists the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize guests dining experience.
  • Sets up events: breaks down chairs, tables, and buffet
  • Train staff when needed to uphold our standards
  • Assists other catering staff as needed to optimize the guests' dining experience
  • Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift
  • Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the manager on duty
  • Correctly completes closing duties at the end of each event
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies

Work Hours & Benefits

A typical work week is 40 hours (50 at peak times) Must be flexible with scheduling: nights weekends and some holidays. Base salary + bonuses | Health Care available.

Catering Qualifications / Skills:

  • Customer service
  • Planning and multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level
  • Good verbal communication skills

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hospitality-related kitchen or front-of-the-house experience preferred
  • Current food handler's card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law, may obtain upon hiring

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
