Principal duties and responsibilities:
Ensures the delivery of safe, high quality, patient centric care while continually evaluating care deliver against ChristianaCare's strategic aims.
Review and evaluate patient experience, report on existing state and build/implement/run a robust sustainable plan to improve outcomes.
Build and maintain through collaborative interdisciplinary relationships, drive efficiencies in patient throughput for optimum delivery of care to the community.
Provide leadership, mentorship, direction, motivation and career development of the nursing leadership team to ensure their professional/career growth.
Actively participate in the development and modification of campus and system-wide patient care programs and procedures that describe how the nursing care needs of the patient populations are assessed, evaluated and met.

Education and experience requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing is required, an MHA, MBA and/or a doctoral degree is desireable but not required.
Certification in nursing leadership and/or clinical specialty is required.
Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience required, ideally in a large, sophisticated healthcare system or other large organization.
Experience with influencing goals and strategies through a highly matrixed environment.
Fiscal acumen proven through the development of annual budgets reflecting staffing, capital and other operating expenses, and successful management of those budgets.
Eligible for a State of Delaware RN License.
