Our mission is simple: to engineer human connection through unforgettable moments of fun and excitement. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** We are rapidly expanding and seeking a Controller to elevate our accounting and financial operations to new heights. With Series B fundraising complete, we're gearing up to open seven more locations by the end of 2025, with ambitious plans to reach over 100 globally by 2030. As our Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in managing Accounting, Tax, and FP&A functions, reporting directly to the President and collaborating closely with senior management. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape our financial strategy and build a top-tier in-house team. - Develop, maintain, and streamline internal accounting, expense, and finance processes.
- Implement efficient internal controls and approval procedures.
- Oversee cash forecasting and treasury management.
- Manage external accounting and bookkeeping partnerships.
- Lead external tax and audit engagements.
- Drive financial planning and budgeting processes, including support for location-level budgeting and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with General Managers on labor forecasting and procurement strategies.
- Conduct detailed analysis of payment processes, credit card fees, and transactional costs.
- Champion the vision for a lean in-house finance team to support long-term growth.
- Manage our ERP system transition from QuickBooks Online to Netsuite.
- Present financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Evaluate and implement external tools to automate and enhance finance processes.
- Build a network of industry professionals to stay informed on best practices and tools. **Qualifications:**- 7-10 years of Accounting experience in multi-unit, multi-state operations (entertainment, restaurant, hotel, hospitality), with 2-3 years+ in a Manager/Director or Controller role.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA and/or CPA a plus.
- Experience with Netsuite and ERP implementation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel.
- Process-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to deliver clear and concise analyses and business-oriented summaries.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and 4-4-5 reporting period structure.
- Comfortable building scalable processes while maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit.
