Delivery Driver And Assistant Prep Cook

Cockpit Catering Company is a full service CACFP (child and adult care food program) provider in Northwest Arkansas, Northeast Arkansas, and Central Arkansas. We pride ourselves on providing healthy, delicious, multicultural food for growing young minds while adhering to CACFP guidelines and food safety standards. We are also a full service event catering company and operate 3 cafe style restaurants. We are located on 115 N. Dixieland.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working. Some kitchen/cooking experience required with a clean driving record.

The purpose of this position is to work alongside the dietary manager to ensure all child nutrition guidelines are met while adhering to strict food safety standards in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, portioning, temperature checking, and labeling meal components for individual centers
• Assist in preparing allergy substitutions
• Follow the prep list, prioritizing time sensitive duties
• Store, date, and label all prepped items
• Store, date, and label any leftover items
• Count items for individual centers
• Maintain a clean workspace
• Dishes, this is every staff member's responsibility
• End of day clean-up
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists

Qualifications

• Food service experience is preferred but not required
• ServeSafe certification is preferred but not required
• Must be able to read and communicate in English. 
• Must be able to read and follow recipes
• Must be flexible and able to handle change professionally
• Must maintain a positive attitude
• Must be skilled in organizing various job duties such as prioritizing time sensitive duties
• Must be a team player, sometimes you will be asked to perform duties outside of your specific job description

This position starts out at $14/hour and is negotiable based on experience. You will average 25 hours per week working approximately 6am - 11am weekdays. The dietary cook reports directly to the dietary manager. 

This position may be merged with our Cockpit Cafe Weekend Cook/Cashier person position in Rogers to offer a full time schedule. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working during the day. The hours are approximately 600AM-1100AM weekdays and 730AM-300PM weekends.
