Reports To: General Manager

Salary: $86,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus

Job Summary

The Director of Catering is to oversee all campus catering for on and off campus clients. You will be responsible for managing client relations along with ensuring the catering offered to our guest is of superior quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

Essential Job Duties:

• Coordinates and oversee the process of catering for all on premise events
• Scheduling catering attendants through temp agency and or PT staff, train in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost controls, food cost control and preparation, renatls, set up, operation, and cleanup of all events.
• Coordinate and oversee the billing and collection of billed events
• Prioritize events and oversee higher demand events and process through dessert and helping as needed.
• Put out fires where needed during events.
• Nights and weekends a must, including some holidays.
• Hours will vary with each individual event.
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality industry including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required.
• Booking, selecting, and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key.
• Ability to speak effectively before clients and employees. 
• Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is also essential.
