The Hospice Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services while overseeing the Compliance, Quality, and Education programs of the organization. The Hospice Director of Nursing establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services which meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and mission.
Education: Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in Alabama required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program for Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in hospice care operations or healthcare preferred. Prefer 5+ years of experience in hospice or healthcare management. Strong compliance background preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Strong problem solver and planner with organizational and analytical ability. Must maintain a current driver’s license and automobile insurance. Computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organization.
