Compass has a Great Opportunity for a full-time role Labor Relations Coordinator. This position in our Labor Relations organization provides support for the department across the country, exercising initiative and judgment while working under minimal direction. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit allowing them to proactively manage tasks and priorities on behalf of the team and in support of the department’s vision, mission, values, and key priorities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan business meetings for multiple Senior Leaders
  • Coordinate and plan weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings, virtual lunches and events for Senior Leaders including the collection and preparation of meeting materials (agendas, PowerPoint, reports, etc.) and the compilation of action items from the meetings
  • Draft and review various documents on behalf of the team, including official reports, correspondence, presentations, responses, etc. as requested
  • Manage travel, invoices, preparation of expense reports, credit card statements, and reimbursements
  • Collaboratively work as a liaison in administration for all Senior Leadership
  • Organize and manage the department’s records and informational hubs, including OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Track, maintain and distribute (as appropriate) information and records related to Team KPIs
  • Support Labor Relations processes, to include informational report creation, data and records management and maintenance, and distribution of assignments to the appropriate team members
  • Provides support to the Labor Relations team on collective bargaining, including maintaining a collective bargaining calendar, converting and formatting documents, compiling draft documents, fulfilling informational requests, and coordinating post-negotiations activity
  • Provides support, advice, and counsel to Operations as necessary
  • May conduct fact-finding and provide input on investigations for site grievances and employee relations issues related to bargaining unit associates
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure union payments are processed
  • Analyze, review, monitor, audit, and assign internal processes
  • Recommend and support implementation of office procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency
  • Prioritizing and coordinate all inter-office administration and procedures
  • Carry out the planning and execution of department equipment procurement, layouts and office systems
  • Organize and assist in coordinating onboarding, orientation, and training of new staff members
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events (both virtual and in office)
  • Maintains the highest level of customer/associate confidence by protecting information confidentiality as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting remote teams and senior level leaders
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience in a multi-location environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and highly proficient with the use advanced technology to compile data, presentations, formal documents, conduct virtual meetings, etc.
  • Self-starting, personally manages all documentation, processes, and other responsibilities in a timely manner with limited support
  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint required. Proficiency in other Microsoft 365 apps, Concur and Smartsheets strongly preferred 
  • Occasional travel by air and automobile may be required
