The President Abraham Lincoln Springfield, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is looking for a  Lead Cook to join their Culinary team!   

Appointed in downtown Springfield, a short walk from Bank of Springfield Center and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library, this hotel offers 310 rooms, 14,000+ sq. ft. of event space,  Lindsay's Restaurant and  The Globe Tavern & Restaurant and in-room dining. 

This position will primarily focus on  PM Production/Supervising .  The ideal candidate for this position must be available for PM shifts starting between 12-3PM. Preferred candidates will have a minimum 2 year leadership experience and 5-8 years culinary experience.

This is a  full-time position which will require full availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As a  Lead Cook , you would be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring quality control for hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot and cold food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings; baked items, salads, etc.
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
