Line Cook – Job Description

Empanology at The Bronx Brewery is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Line Cook. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, self-motivated, creative and has a strong passion for food and beverage. Full-time positions available with opportunity for growth within the company.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain integrity of product and brand
• Kitchen inventory management
• Work the Line 5-6 days a week
• Keep up with industry trends to create new recipes
• Prepare food and create delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu
• Assist chef with costing out recipes
• Maintain high production rate in the kitchen
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen

Education / Experience / Skills Required: 

• Associate Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred)
• 2+ years experience as a Line Cook in a full-service restaurant
• Able to maintain quality control during high volume shifts
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
• Dedicated to food quality, integrity of product and cleanliness
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
• ServSafe and/or Food Handlers certification required

Self starter, people friendly, team player and ability to interact with customers
