Trece Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Line Cook candidate who is passionate about creating renowned customer experience within our restaurant.

Trece is located inside the Planet 13 Entertainment Complex. 

 

Summary

Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other items for consumption in eating establishments by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

Reads menu to estimate food requirements and orders food from supplier or procures food from storage.

Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.

Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.

Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.

Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.

Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.

Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders.

Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.

Butchers chickens, fish, and shellfish.

Cuts, trims, and bones meat prior to cooking.

Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry.

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a current & valid Food Handler's card issued by the Southern Nevada Health District. Must be 21 years of age or older.
