Position Summary:

The Mental Health Research Associate (MHRA) will join a dynamic research study team where they will be expected to independently execute, manage, and coordinate a mental-health focused research protocol within the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS) – a collaborative, multi-center, longitudinal study designed to comprehensively investigate the impact of chronic health conditions that affect people living with HIV.
The MHRA will manage all operations for a protocol using the World Health Organization World Mental Health Composite International Diagnostic Interview (CIDI) for the assessment of mental health disorders among MWCCS participants. The MHRA is expected to independently direct all aspects of protocol planning and implementation. They will be responsible for participant recruitment, administration of CIDI assessments, documentation of study procedures, and will also be responsible for referral and follow-up of clinical issues as appropriate. They will serve as the protocol point of contact for the Project Director (PD), Investigators and other research personnel. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or in public health, social sciences, psychology, or related disciplines, with at least 3 year’s work experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members of diverse backgrounds and levels of training. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. They should be responsible, mature, organized, and attentive to details.
Driver license required (the MWCCS has two off-site clinics and the selected MHRA must travel between the two for research appointments.
