Network Systems Administrator

Founded in the 1980s, we are a leading manufacturer of hydraulic attachments, pedestal booms, & more in construction & demolition industries.

We are actively seeking a Network Systems Administrator to manage the company's data and voice network along with associated hardware and software.

This person will work onsite at our Headquarters in Walton Hills, Ohio.  Walton Hills is a semi-rural community located in southeastern Cuyahoga County just north of the Summit County line.  Northeast Ohio has a wide scope of community sizes ranging from rural farming communities to the bustling metropolitan area of Greater Cleveland.  Conveniently located between Akron and Cleveland, Walton Hills' centralized location means you don't have to travel far to find whatever may interest you:  quality restaurants, cultural activities, community events, Metroparks, or an array of other attractions.  No matter what you enjoy, you won't have to go far to find it!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administers Company's network, including upgrades, troubleshooting, setup and maintenance.
• Manages network and associated hardware and operating systems.
• Coordinates project phases from development to implementation.
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with departments and datacenter.
• Recommends network strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends, anticipating requirement.
• Plans, organizes, controls and evaluates IT network and electronic data operations.
• Patching of server operating systems as well as firmware updates for server and networking hardware.

Experience and Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience as a Network, Systems or Infrastructure Administrator.
• 3+ years' experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare and storage array networks
• Prior experience managing small to medium sized network environment
• CompTIA Network+ and A+ certifications required, Cisco CCNA, VMWare VCP and/or Microsoft 74-409 certifications recommended
• Strong documentation skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry standard software, network, and hardware components.
• Superior time management skills are critical to position. Frequently required to multitask and switch project priorities. Ability to respond to critical issues outside of normal work hours occasionally required. Ability to schedule off-hour maintenance windows for operating system and firmware updates for virtual machines, server and network hardware.
