On Call Banquet Server

Job Summary: The On Call Banquet Server at DoubleTree Deerfield Beach, FL is responsible for providing excellent and efficient service to guests during banquet and catering events. This is a part-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The On Call Banquet Server will report to the Banquet Manager and will work as an individual contributor to ensure the success of all events held at the hotel. Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time and in proper uniform for scheduled shifts
• Set up and breakdown banquet rooms according to event specifications
• Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service throughout the event
• Take food and beverage orders and accurately input them into the POS system
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Assist with general banquet and event set up and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment
• Act as a team player and work collaboratively with other staff members
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Adhere to all company standards and regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in banquet serving or a similar role in the hospitality/restaurant industry preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses
• High school diploma or equivalent
