PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Director of Front Office, the PBX Agent responsible for facilitating efficient communications for both guests and staff both within the hotel and for external communications. This role provides quality service to guests, staff, via incoming calls and a wide range of information pertaining to the hotel and activities in and around the city. This role allows an opportunity for delivery of impactful service and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. You will be responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your guests. PBX Agents are responsible to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the overall hotel operation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or its equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: PBX or call center experience preferred.

  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to receive instructions and make reports with accuracy.
  • Must show basic computer proficiency such as with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Must be knowledgeable about applicable laws regarding the operation of hotels and restaurants.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when needed.
