PM Assistant Restaurant Manager

The AC by Marriott Hotel at the Vancouver waterfront is currently seeking a PM Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our growing team! The PM Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of associates. In addition, the PM Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. The 150-room AC by Marriott Hotel opened in June 2022, featuring 7,000 sq ft of event space (all with river view), restaurant and lounge with outdoor seating, and spectacular views of the Columbia River. Responsibilities

• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality service.
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Conducts department audits and ensures compliance. Ensure franchise inspection requirements are met.
• Creates and implements innovative sales strategies to maintain and increase covers, average checks and liquor sales.
• Monitors wait staff's selling efficiency
• Coordinates with other departments on joint tasks such as posting restaurant charges

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent hotel and management experience.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Restaurant experience preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and PC skills will be required.
