Abilene's FIRST full-service hotel, DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Convention Center, is searching for Servers to join their Food & Beverage Team! 

DoubleTree Abilene Downtown Convention Center is scheduled to open Summer of 2023. Be a part of Abilene’s newest, upscale dining option. Smokehouse Abilene, inside DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center hotel, offers a three-meal restaurant targeting in-house guests, local neighbors, and visiting travelers to Abilene. The restaurant’s bustling outdoor space – consisting of patio seating and a customized smoker – is both aromatic and alluring.  As the first full-service hotel in the local market, DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene will set the standard for upscale dining in the region. Unique in concept, design, and atmosphere, all outlets in the hotel will share elements of identity and provide products and services of the utmost quality.

The new DoubleTree by Hilton will bring 200 guest rooms, 17,000 sq ft of meeting space, a 3-Meal Restaurant, Lounge/Bar, and much more! 

We are conveniently located across the street from the convention center in downtown Abilene, among restaurants and businesses. The Adamson-Spaulding Storybook Garden is a block away, and the Grace and Frontier Texas museums are within a mile. Abilene Zoo is only four miles from our front door and we’re just a 10-minute drive from the regional airport. We offer a pool and fitness center.

What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
