Job Description - Team Member Housing Supervisor, Grand Canyon National Park

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Team Member Housing Supervisor to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Team Member Housing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the total cleanliness of all rooms, as well as assigning rooms and delegating tasks.

Delaware North's operations in Grand Canyon National Park offer the opportunity to experience living and working in one of the natural wonders of the world. We provide a variety of employee housing options including shared trailers, apartments, dorm rooms, and houses, with amenities including a community center, free internet, workout, and recreational equipment.   • This position requires the team member to drive 12-passenger company van on and off property.
  • Supervise, train and direct up to 8 housing assistants to ensure all housing policies are followed.
  • Assist staff with cleaning housing, laundry facilities and common areas as needed.
  • Create calendar, coordinate associate activities and provide transportation for appointments.
  • Maintain orderly, accurate uniform inventory and work with housing manager to maintain stock.
  • Assign associates to housing units and schedule associate move in/move out dates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The successful applicant will have an unrestricted driver’s license and ability to pass a non CDL DOT physical.
  • High School graduate or GED and a minimum of 2 years as housekeeping supervisor or similar experience required. 
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure, follow directions, provide instructions, motivate staff and resolve issues.
  • Must be able to communicate, speak, write and read English language. 
  • Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations and basic knowledge of computer. 
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to safely operate company vehicle under varying inclement weather conditions required. 
  • Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds including furniture and equipment. 
  • Physical and manual dexterity for constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, lifting, repetitive motion and climbing stairs and step stool. 
  • Exposure to and use of chemicals required to clean housing, bathrooms, floors, laundry facilities and kitchens.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at desk and/or computer. 
  • Visual acuity sufficient to see and distinguish currency and reports.
  • Ability to communicate through use of 2-way radio. 
  • Will be subject to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain and snow.
