Overview What you will have an opportunity to do: Come join our food and beverage team who have the front row seat to amazing culinary creations and curating exceptional guest experiences!


240 West is positioned as a locally sourced, handcrafted cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. Our Executive chef works with local growers and producers to bring quality and sustainable ingredients to your table. Our rustic atmosphere is influenced by wine country, with reclaimed wood beams, rich fabrics and a large stone fireplace. Hosts and hostesses plays an integral role in ensuring that each of our customers have exceptional dining experience. They are responsible for maintaining an organized flow in the restaurant. The host/ess position makes guest reservations and assists guests over the phone and in person. The position is also responsible for ensuring servers and serving stations are assigned diners in an organized, timely and efficient manner. At all times, hosts are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcomed.


Host/ess role:

• Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead
• Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant in a prompt and courteous manner
• Guide guests on their restaurant experience while they await to be seated
• Be accurate in your order and/or reservation taking, confirming all special requests
• Work collaboratively with other restaurant team members
• Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
• Know when to engage a Leader to assist with a guests experience

Your Environment: Controlled indoor temperatures, could experience high temperatures and high humidity when outdoor serving for our outlets and events. Varied volume levels based on capacity of outlet or event and entertainment schedule. Standing and walking on hard surface tile flooring, possibility for wet floors, grass, pool deck and carpet - non-slip shoes a must!


Qualifications What are we looking for? The right person will show great customer etiquette, be empathic, outgoing, and should thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. He or she must be able communicate effectively with the team and together work to provide an excellent experience for our guests. The right person will be show excellent customer service skills, must be passionate about service and should thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers.
