Anesthesia Technician

Townsen Memorial is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for our facility in Humble, TX. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of operating room procedures and processes, and maintain a high level of communication while working alongside the intraoperative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
• Performs safety checks on anesthesia equipment
• Maintains adequate supplies of medical oxygen, nitrous oxide, and air
• Ensures the anesthesia machine is ready for use including troubleshooting and correcting problems
• Preforms anesthesia equipment inspections including suction, electrical plugs, gas connections, oxygen and nitrous oxide cylinders
• Restocks supplies
• Assists the Anesthesiologist as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support the hospital

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• 1 year in the medical setting (preferred)
