Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Type: Full-time, Rotating Shifts Salary: Competitive pay with $10,000 sign-on bonus Overview: Join our dedicated team a reputable Critical Access Hospital committed to providing quality healthcare to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to contribute to our mission of ensuring positive patient outcomes through accurate and timely laboratory testing. Responsibilities: Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Blood Bank, adhering to standard operating procedures and quality control measures. Analyze and interpret laboratory data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in test results. Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and contribute to the development of treatment plans. Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services. Shift Schedule: Weekday shifts: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, and 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm (on-call duty). On-call duty: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am (20-minute response time required). (sleep rooms available) Requirements: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field. Would consider an MLT. ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
