Townsen Memorial is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for our hospital in Humble, TX. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs direct bedside patient care including obtaining vital signs, patient documentation, and assisting the nursing staff based on unit needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and basic needs
• Recognizes the needs of the patient and communicates needs with appropriate staff
• Ensures neatness and cleanliness of patient rooms and maintains patient care items
• Assists nursing staff in assigned areas
• Completes tasks assigned under the direction of nursing staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Compliance with facility policies and procedures
• Ability to adapt with flexibility
• Ability to maintain records and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., carry 35 lbs., push and pull 25lbs, lift overhead 25 lbs. Able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, and reaching
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Current Texas C.N.A. certification (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Current CPR or BLS certification
