Compensation Range: $55,000 - $60,000 annually commensurate with experience Overview:


Using a one to one, person-centered counseling model, Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE) program seeks to improve the functioning of individuals living with mental illness, histories of chemical and alcohol dependence, or physical disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals in the areas of recovery, employment or independent functioning. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor will provide support and guidance to mental health counselors and peers, helping to improve their engagement and clinical skill sets, ultimately improving the quality of care delivered to clients. The Clinical Supervisor may also deliver direct services to a subset of program participants referred from other programs, contributing to the reduction of unnecessary hospitalization/ institutional level of care and improved societal integration of these participants. CORE service delivery is designed to be flexible and individualized and is focused on the promotion of skill development and identification of community supports in order to overcome deficits related to function and motivation. Responsibilities:
• The Clinical Supervisor will conduct intake assessment, counseling, advocacy, and referral services to participants
• Supervising crisis calls and escalating when necessary
• Demonstrate empathy towards the population
• Support persons with developmental disabilities in making informed choices
• Follows best practice and clinical standards, and adheres to departmental and State guidelines
• Hold case conferences as needed.
• Hybrid work requirement with both remote and in-person formats
• Lead and co-lead regularly scheduled individual supervision/weekly group counseling, and team meeting sessions with the assigned team with supporting documentation
• Participate in staff recruitment, orientation, and training. Lead performance evaluation and progressive discipline matters for direct reports in line with just culture.
• Participate in advocacy efforts to support the programs and policies that improve the lives of target population
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum Requirements
• A Master's degree in related field, Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychology or Mental Health Counseling preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, including working collaboratively with professionals across disciplines, (e.g., domestic violence advocates, housing specialists, attorneys, rehabilitation counselors, government officials, workforce development professionals and other community-based agency staff.)
• Experience delivering counseling services to the target population
• Experience working with persons with issues of drug use, mental illness, chronic illnesses, HIV/AIDS and homelessness
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to create user friendly tracking and documentation systems using spreadsheets
• Work with people with various disabilities
• Excellent intrapersonal skills
• Prior Clinical Supervisory experience preferred
