Job Description - Community Treatment Counselor

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team - Substance Use Professional - Full Time

$2,000 sign-on bonus!

As a member of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive substance abuse assessments that describes the relationship between the member's mental health and substance use. You will serve as a consultant and educator to fellow ACT team members regarding integrated dual disorder treatment.

This is a community-based role that covers Cumberland County. If you love being out and about and seeing clients in the community, you may be a great fit! We provide mileage reimbursement!

Schedule

Monday - Friday 830a-430p, flexible.

Pay (based on credentials & experience)

CADC credential ~ $23.00 per hour.

Associate or full licensure ~ $23.50 - $25.00 per hour.

+ $2,000 sign-on bonus!

You will be eligible for medical benefits the first of the month following your first 30 days. We have options for a standard plan, as well as an HSA with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. We also provide company paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and paid credentialing. SouthLight is an approved employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.

Job Responsibilities of an ACTT Substance Use Professional

  • Assist in the development of natural support networks
  • Individual and group supportive counseling
  • Monitor symptoms and medications and link the individual to the appropriate services, agencies and supports in the community
  • Write, implement, evaluate, and revise client's person-centered plan and overall treatment goals
  • Participate in on-call crisis intervention rotation
  • Review treatment progress and provide continuous consultation with other Assertive Community Treatment Team staff
  • Ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status which may put individual at risk.
  • Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided

Qualifications of an ACTT Substance Use Professional

Education and Experience

  • Min of Bachelor's degree in Human Services
  • Experience with Adult Developmental and Intellectual Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorders /2-4 years of experience working with co-occurring and mental health population preferred

Certifications

  • Valid North Carolina Driver License
  • LCAS, LCAS-A or CADC
  • Fully licensed LCAS desirable but not required
