PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to applicants with a Professional Engineering License.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge, skills, concepts, principles, and professional disciplines of engineering, architecture, construction, and project management.
Knowledge of state and federal laws and procedures for purchasing, bid letting, contract writing, and contract awarding.
Knowledge of ADA Standards, accessibility guidelines for outdoor recreation areas, various building codes, industry standards, construction quality control, and cost estimating.
Skills in budget management and fiscal controls.
Skills in project management, negotiation, consensus-building, problem resolution, and interpersonal relationships with agency staff, management, public, and private industry personnel.
Ability to multi-task under minimal supervision.
Ability to express conceptual ideas through sketches, drawings, and the use of computer-aided drafting software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture)
Experience:
2-4 years of progressive work experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture with acquired knowledge at the level of a Project Engineer.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Education & Experience Substitution:
5-7 years of progressive work experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture with acquired knowledge at the level of a Project Engineer.
