About the Role:

In this role you will carry out the efforts of Credit Risk Administration in identifying, measuring, and monitoring the Bank's credit risk in the context of the Allowance for Credit Losses estimation, credit and capital stress testing, risk rating frameworks, and overall sound management of the Bank's credit exposures. Responsibilities include production and maintenance of credit risk models, fulfillment of analytical practices and reports, maintenance and limited development of database infrastructure, and compliance with regulatory mandates in adherence to the Bank's Credit Risk Management policies and regulations.

  • Run recurring credit risk estimation models for ACL and stress testing purposes for assigned portfolios. Assess the reasonableness of PD/LGD/EL estimates, complete controls and deliver results to internal partners in accordance with established requirements.

  • Maintain Dual Risk Rating scorecard models for various portfolios including quantitative, qualitative and combined scoring methodology. Monitor and maintain validity of the Bank's Master Rating Scale.

  • Prepare recurring credit stress testing, Dual Risk Rating, and other credit risk reports and dashboards as well as ad hoc credit risk analysis or reports as requested by management. Make recommendations regarding credit risk and policy where appropriate.

  • Document applicable components of credit risk model development and implementation, including necessary tests and operating procedures, in conjunction with model developers and other stakeholders. Work with Model Risk Management to ensure models are validated. Remediate any validation findings as required.

  • Implement and perform model monitoring tests and procedures and produce recurring reports evaluating the continued validity of department-owned models. Recommend improvements to owned models as appropriate.

  • Use and maintain essential database structures necessary to ensure efficient production and facilitate model testing and research. Collaborate with other stakeholders where appropriate.

  • Develop judgmental estimation tools as needed and establish procedures for their operation. Document the same accordingly.

  • Determine relevant data quality rules and work with data governance partners to establish appropriates lines of defense. As needed, test and document the quality of data used for department models and processes.

  • Coordinate and work in cooperation with various departments and project teams who are stakeholders in the work produced by Credit Risk Administration.

  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes.

  • Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, business, accounting or related field required. Advanced degree and/or related certification in the same is preferred.

  • 3-5 years of financial or risk-related analytical experience applicable to credit and loan portfolio risk assessment. Must demonstrate an intermediate level of knowledge of credit risk.

  • Fundamental understanding of databases, queries, data integrity issues and related systems. Must demonstrate at least basic level skill with SQL. Experience with MS SQL Server is a plus.

  • Possess functional understanding of statistics and predictive modeling. Experience with credit risk models and/or relevant industry certifications is preferred.

The pay range for this role is $49,330.00 to $102,061.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
