Job Description - Director of Facilities

CareSTL Health is seeking a qualified Director of Facilities to join our team!!

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Facilities is primarily responsible for ensuring the routine, operation, maintenance, and safety of all owned, leased , or otherwise managed facilities of the organization. This role also plans, directs, and monitors the progress of development projects such as building or renovating clinical sites. This position has responsibility for demonstrating the core values ofCareSTL Health: Customer Service, Community, Commitment,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

The Director of Facilities may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.

  1. Performs monthly evaluation of infrastructure across all
  2. Develops, implements, and monitors the facility improvement master plan to include a deferred maintenance schedule, and ongoing five-year plan.
  3. Responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating policies, procedures, process improvement, training, and evaluation metrics.
  4. Management of major capital and all site renovation
  5. Review, negotiate, and oversee ongoing and services contracts related to the facility

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Management of service request intake and work order management, work delegation, and completion tracking.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining policies and procedures related to clinical operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations that impact clinic operations, including participation in audits.
  • Ensure communication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures both up and down the chain of command through meetings, huddles, and other forms of communication.
  • Participates as assigned on organization teams; including serving as co-chair for the Emergency Preparedness team.
  • Ensures routine adherence to all OSHA guidelines and rules in regard to handling of bio-hazardous waste.
  • Hires, trains, leads, evaluates, and motivates staff; provides positive reinforcement and recognition; and disciplines and implements corrective actions as necessary
  • Maintains current level of job-related skills by attending meetings, conferences, and training sessions
  • Responsible for annual staff evaluations, and monthly 1:1 in order to promote professional development
  • Approving team payroll and approving time off requests
  • Have a high-level understanding of grants within the organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Facilities Management, Building Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field OR a minimum of 10 years of significantly related job experience required

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in facility operations, facility management, construction project management, general construction, or related experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in plant/facilities management is required for ALL candidates

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective oral and verbal communication
  • Strong business and organizational
  • Ability to analyze/troubleshoot complex information
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of effective management practices and principles
  • Effective collaboration and negation skills
  • Advanced computer software navigation skills
  • Reading Blueprints and site floor plans

Transportation Requirement:

  • Must have reliable transportation

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • None

Additional Information:

  • Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 11 paid holidays per year.
