Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Systems Data Analyst with exceptional communication skills and a robust financial and accounting background to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in financial analysis, SQL, and financial accounting, coupled with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Strong financial/accounting background; insurance account knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Proficiency in defining testing expected results and executing financial testing.
• Ability to create test cases, test scripts, and execute testing in corporate financial or accounting systems.
• Familiarity with configuring financial package software is advantageous.
• Expertise in SQL query skills; experience with Oracle SQL Developer is beneficial.
• Familiarity with BI reporting tools is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Understand accounting policy and rules to create journal debit and credit lines for various financial life cycle-based events.
• Document requirements for financial system enhancements or changes.
• Work with technologies and tools for data extraction, transfer, and loading (Service Gateway, ETL tools).
• Analyze, test, and implement data-driven solutions involving component architectures, data warehouses, data-marts, accounting engines, and sub-ledgers.
• Utilize strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases to construct queries.
• Conduct business and process analysis, including structure documentation.
• Identify and resolve accounting data discrepancies.
• Design financial test scenarios, acceptance criteria, expected results, and test data.
