Our client is a prestigious global law firm known for its excellence in providing legal services across various practice areas. With a commitment to delivering top-tier client service and upholding the highest standards of professionalism, they are dedicated to fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.They are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their Washington, DC team as a Global Practice Support Assistant. This is a hybrid position and is onsite 3 days/week. This position plays a vital role in providing administrative support to a group of attorneys and helping associates navigate through the firm. The ideal candidate has a background in the administrative/secretarial space, and is sharp, detail-oriented, adaptable and highly organized. If this sounds like you, keep reading! 

Global Practice Support Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals within the global practice groups, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations
  • Assist in managing calendars, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings and conference calls, including across different time zones, with a high level of precision and efficiency
  • Draft, proofread and edit various legal documents, correspondence and presentations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, organizing documents, records and client information in a meticulous and systematic manner
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, managing communications effectively and providing timely responses as necessary
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations and transportation, while adhering to firm policies and budget guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members and other administrative staff to support the successful execution of projects and initiatives within the global practice groups
  • Assist with special projects, research tasks and other administrative duties as assigned by supervising attorneys or management
Global Practice Support Assistant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 1+ year of experience as a secretary or administrative assistant in the professional services space, preferably within a law firm environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with accuracy and precision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Must be able to work on-site in Washington, DC, three days per week
