Arup is seeking a dynamic Healthcare IT Leader to drive and deliver innovative ITC and digital services in the US and Canadian healthcare sector.

The role of the Healthcare IT Leader is primarily to win and deliver digital advisory services for Healthcare clients in the Americas region. They will be responsible for working with the regional ITC team to oversee the delivery of projects they initiate. The successful candidate will work with internal and external clients to identify areas where digital services solve their challenges and meet their needs.

The Healthcare IT Leader will possess broad digital and Healthcare expertise, spanning ELV and specialty systems (e.g. nurse call, RTLS), digital and data strategy, and how it can be deployed to drive benefits across Healthcare planning, design, construction, operations, and asset management.

They will bring client relationships and experience in the Healthcare market, a depth of digital strategy and implementation knowledge, links to the institutions and key bodies for this industry, as well as a track record in business development and client relationship management.

They will also lead and grow the West ITC team to establish critical mass and a coherent and strong identity.

The responsibilities for the Healthcare IT Leader are:

  • Working with Arup Market, Business, Service and Geography leaders to expand our relationships with existing Healthcare clients and opening relationships with new clients.
  • Developing digital service offerings relevant to the Healthcare market to support a diverse range of business scenarios for example construction digital twins, remote asset condition monitoring, service planning and operations, and predictive maintenance and rehabilitation.
  • Acting as Arup Project Director on digital and ITC healthcare service engagements.
  • Communicating and liaising with clients/partners/stakeholders and managing client/partner/stakeholder meetings.
  • Identification of suitable partners to consider for major pursuits.
  • Negotiating appropriate types of contracts and conditions of engagement for Arup services and sub-consultants which minimize risk and maximize the value that the firm can deliver.
  • Representing Arup at the highest levels regionally and beyond, promoting Arup digital expertise and ensuring we are seen as a thought leader, innovator and partner of choice in the Healthcare marketplace.

Qualifications

Experience required for this role includes:

  • At least 14 years of experience in delivery of technology strategy and advisory services and low voltage system and specialty systems design services with at least seven years in the Healthcare market
  • Networked with clients in the Healthcare market regionally
  • Business development experience
  • Strong technical experience, and the ability to lead teams of expert consultants to deliver successful advisory engagements
  • Commercial/finance skills and ability to develop fee proposals
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment.
  • Effective presentation skills, with colleagues and clients of all levels.
  • Leadership skills to lead a discipline.
  • Degree qualified with relevant professional qualification

California Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $175,000 to $220,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
