Job Description - Human Resource Coordinator - Hiring Urgently

As the HR Coordinator you would be responsible for overseeing HR Admins, ensuring HR policies are implemented and followed, and being available to all employees on 2 nd shift. Duties/Responsibilities

  • Participates in developing and implementing department policies, goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Constantly evaluates HR policies and methods; Develops HR solutions by collecting and analyzing information; Recommends best practices/courses of action.
  • Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Oversees HR Administrators; Ensures that their duties are performed efficiently.
  • Manages daily flow of inquiries from employees, delegating issues as needed and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely feedback.
  • Responsible for employee relations issues, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitates communication between employees and their supervisors/managers.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; Evaluates potential solutions; Implements selected solution; coaches and counsels managers and employees.
  • Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations concerning employment.
  • Interprets and implements union contracts; Ensures contract terms are followed.
  • Completes comprehensive investigations into employee issues and submits detailed reports.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing, and organizing information, presenting results.
  • Supervises recruitment effort for nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees.
  • Conducts new-employee orientation.
  • Supervises and performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Monitors and modifies Kronos and HRIS systems; Verifies labor hours and attendance.
  • Maintains HR records, reports, and logs.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee data.
  • Establishes and enforces standards of accountability.
  • Assists in monitoring and managing the performance appraisal process.
  • Cultivates a positive working environment; Fosters productive working relationships among team members; Builds and strengthens relationships within the team; Serves as an excellent example to others.
  • Fosters Company culture through constant contact with employees.
  • Consistently enforces Company policies, safety standards, quality standards, SOPs, and GMPs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all hands-on duties related to the department.
Skills/Qualifications
  • 3 or more years' experience in an HR role. Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. Minimum education of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Considerable knowledge of HR law, principles, practices, and administration.
  • Proven leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and managers through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Should be adaptable, dependable, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experienced with HRIS systems and timekeeping systems.
  • Bilingual in in Spanish or Nepali is a plus.
  • Will be subject to a 10-panel drug screen and other pre-employment screening.
