Job Description - Learning and Development Lead Specialist

Job Description Summary

The Learning and Development Lead Specialist is a role which provides direction and assistance to the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) and Advanced Courses of Engineering (ACE) programs as well as serving as a Technical Learning Resource in engineering. In this role you will work across all aspects of the engineering organization to coordinate resources to drive a world class experience for our EEDP/ACE. Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Edison Program

  • Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify program needs over time.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for program.
  • Design, develop, and generate reports necessary for analyzing data on the rotation placement of Edison based on business needs.
  • Leadership Program (LP) Bridge tool gatekeeper – assist managers and assignment leaders in 100% data accuracy.
  • Provide rotational program training to assignment leaders, and support to program members as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks and relationships across Program members, HR partners, and Assignment Leaders.
  • Supports Program Manager in reviews and modifications of Edison policy.
  • Interact with the Program Manager on EEDP/ACE activities.
  • Manage events for program, such as: recruiting, interviews, kickoffs, graduations, and other leadership development activities and/or trainings.
  • Manage the process and budget needs for program related billing and budgeting, including corporate P-Card transactions, purchase orders, requisitions, invoices and order supplies & equipment, working the program admin as appropriate.

Advanced Courses in Engineering Support

  • Define, create and deliver associated training tools such as Support Central/Confluence pages, workflow and data forms.
  • Manage development of instructor schedules, materials, rosters, and assessments in order to meet the learning and development needs of engineering and ensure compliance with associated policy.
  • Manage course content (lectures, homework, rubrics, class recordings, templates etc.).
  • Manage process for students and Subject Matter Experts for homework/assessment peer grading and expert grading and ensure compliance with associated policy.
  • Delegate needed administrative support.
  • Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of learning program processes and lead improvements.

University Liaison

  • Manage grad school process with program members, including instruction on steps to apply for Grad School and Advanced Courses of Engineering Program.
  • Provide university recruiting support spanning recruiting, interviewing, and applicable onboarding efforts (including use of Abode).
  • Develop and maintain strong networks and relationship with universities, acting as focal point for university interactions.
  • Work with professor of record, supporting instructors, and program members to provide University all required accreditation documentation for coursework.
  • Administer semester grades for applicable Advanced Courses of Engineering
  • Manage university invoicing and payments.
  • Communicate application process, requirements and deadlines to students for registration and other activities each semester.
  • Manage and maintain graduate school transcripts, Plans of Studies, and compliance to program policy, and raise any concerns to leadership.
  • Delegate needed administrative support.

Technical Learning Office

  • Provide support to Engineering Ops Senior Learning Leader.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 3 years of equivalent work experience.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.

The salary range for this position is $86-122k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
