Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Medical Lab Technician near St. Paul, MN.
Direct Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: based on experience
Responsibilities: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Specialist/MLT/MLS to join our CAP-accredited clinical testing laboratory on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our laboratory's menu of routine blood tests and assisting with ongoing urine specimen testing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the selection and validation of blood-based clinical tests, instruments, and assays suitable for our current and future patient populations.
Integrating new blood-testing equipment with existing and/or new laboratory information systems.
Gathering technical documentation and obtaining quotes for the equipment and assays under consideration.
Providing proactive guidance on CAP-specific requirements to ensure compliance.
Cross-training on urine toxicology testing and covering part-time duties as blood orders increase.
Undertaking other tasks as assigned by laboratory management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science required
ASCP certification
Proficiency in performing laboratory tests and procedures
Knowledge of aseptic technique and proper handling of biological samples
Familiarity with data management systems for recording and analyzing test results
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and colleagues
Additional Information: This position offers flexible scheduling, as our laboratory may extend its hours to include weekends to meet the needs of our expanding operations.
