We are looking for an innovative, motivated, and collaborative Medical Solution Lead to join us in our Medical Affairs team.

 

About the role

The candidate is accountable for the planning and implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy for the assigned therapeutic area and serves as a vital member of the TA cross-functional solution team (Local Mission team in the US). The Medical Solution lead drives the execution of Medical initiatives and tactics to address local gaps in evidence, medical education and quality of care initiatives. Activities and responsibilities related to this role are in collaboration and alignment with the Medical Strategy lead, the cross-functional solutions team, and the customer-facing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Drives execution of regional and global initiatives adapted to local context and in alignment with ecosystem leads, medical operation, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive excellence by leveraging innovation and technology to build solutions and communication plans via local omnichannel strategy tailored to stakeholder audiences, planning, and solution development 
  • Authors and assists with scientific publications, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and encore publications. Generates medical and scientific information materials.
  • Engage and Partner with internal and external experts and stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions that address gaps in the local care management landscape that will enhance standards of care for patients
  • Develop local medical solutions and initiatives to address identified gaps in evidence generation, medical education, and quality of care in line with the ecosystem team and local patient value drives for the assigned therapeutic area
  • Understand the patient journey, moments of meaning, and local care management practices for patients to help inform and tailor solutions according to patient value drivers
  • Identify opportunities and support operations related to local RWE evidence studies, IIS (investigator-initiated studies), and registries
  • Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of promotional and non-promotional materials, symposia, and events
  • Lead and contribute to insight collection initiatives such as advisory board and area-country presence at global and local congresses, including adapting global symposia and submitting encore publications at local congresses
  • Maintains clinical, scientific and technical expertise in the assigned therapeutic area; reviews scientific journals; attends scientific and key technical meetings; participates in internal training programs. Keeps abreast of the current literature and collects and communicates medical and scientific insights and intelligence relevant to the therapeutic product portfolio.

 

Interested? For this role, we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills.

  • PhD ( neuroscience preferred with pharma industry experience)
  • Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, 2-3+ years in a similar position) in the respective therapeutic areas
  • Proven track record of contribution to medical affairs and/or clinical development strategies
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a cross-business/cross-functional team and collaborate and solution building
  • Subject matter expert for the assigned therapeutic area
  • Solid peer relationships with and exposure to external scientific/ clinical experts and professionals; demonstrated ability to proactively engage internal and external leaders and serve as a medical expert
  • Solid knowledge of the pharma, environment, and healthcare ecosystems and relevance for the business
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and translate complex medical concepts to various audiences
  • Experience with review committee procedures and policies
