Job Title - Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients orally, intravenously, or by other routes as directed by physicians.
- Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners.
- Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper alignment and patient comfort.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and image quality.
- Process and analyze imaging data to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and make treatment recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of imaging procedures.
- Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and answering questions to alleviate anxiety and promote cooperation.
- Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and procedures through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Perform other job duties as needed or assigned by the client.
Job Requirements
- ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine OR CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine
- BLS, preferably from AHA
- Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
