WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE AS AN ON-CALL NURSE

As an On-Call Nurse, you seize the opportunity to supervise and provide guidance to the Psychiatric Technicians on shift, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. Your role involves actively assisting in the daily living activities of the patients and implementing procedures to meet their medical needs as ordered by the healthcare team. In your capacity as an On-Call Nurse, you play a crucial role in screening calls and addressing questions related to medication. You arrange educational sessions for patients about their medications and meticulously document instances where patients or their families have received handout sheets and educational sessions.

Your responsibilities extend to monitoring the lab work of patients in line with specific medication guidelines. You evaluate and support patients receiving medications on an individual or group basis. The position also entails dispensing prescriptions, in consultation with the psychiatrist, either by phone or in person.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM AN ON-CALL NURSE?

We're looking for someone who can work part-time on weekends only: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm while meeting the following qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee
• Experience working in the mental health field
• Registered Nurse with Psychiatric Certification preferred
