Pharmacy Clerk

Location: 

4045 E. Bell Rd., Suite 163, Phoenix, AZ 85032

Schedule: 

Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm with rotating Saturday's 9am-1pm

Objective

To provide a high level of customer satisfaction by handling each customer with a personal service and ensure a positive experience. Must possess a vibrant personality and be able to multi-task with a pleasant demeanor during stressful situations. Always remember the customer is our top priority.

Essential Duties

· Follow company policy and procedure regarding operation of a cash register including cash transactions, checks, charges

· Clean, stock and maintain customer area including (but not limited to): filling register supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc), tidying customer area (dusting, organizing, cleaning), and maintaining customer pick up area

· Complete HIPAA training and maintain HIPAA compliance with all healthcare interactions

· Learn pharmacy computer system and phone system to determine readiness of patient prescriptions and receive refill request to be passed to a technician for processing

· Learn and apply Arizona pharmacy law under the supervision of a pharmacist

· Greet patients and establish positive relationship with the pharmacy team

· Performing any other duties as assigned by a pharmacist or supervisor that fall within the permissible activities of a pharmacy clerk within the state of Arizona

· Clear criminal background & drug test

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

· Familiarity with pharmacy software system helpful

· Excellent customer service experience

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Pharmacy Experience a plus

Physical Demands

· Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g, computer keyboards, filing, etc.)

· Standing, sitting, or walking for periods of time

· Normal range of hearing and vision to perform work and communicate

· Stooping or kneeling (e.g., to access lower shelves/drawers, picking up items from floor, etc.)

· Lifting and carrying light loads up to 40 pounds, reaching above shelves

Educational Qualifications

· High School Diploma

· Pharmacy Tech Trainee License not required but a plus
