We are currently seeking qualified, highly motivated, and experienced individuals to join our team as a Training Specialist. 

 

The Training Specialist position is responsible for helping our new hires gain the skills and acumen needed to succeed in their new positions. They will also facilitate refresher and skills training classes to ensure current employees excel in their current jobs. Using principles of adult learning, the Training Specialist will develop instructional materials and deliver training programs for the pharmacy and patient access teams. The position will modify and update instructional materials in response to evaluations from learners and organizational changes.

• Provide classroom training using supplied materials developed by certified instructional designers.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of procedures manuals for all current and new programs.
• Assist with the design of training materials for new programs/initiatives (e.g., classroom training documents and activities, Desk Drops).
• Support training team in the development and/or maintenance of existing training materials.
• Update the Confluence/Wiki to ensure it holds the most up-to-date information, is grammatically correct, and is user-friendly.
• Facilitate new hire training and skills development classes.
• Coordinate and deliver compliance training updates and skills refresher classes.
• Track new hire and annual compliance training completion as needed.
• Where applicable, provide follow-up for all new hire classes at 30 days and 60 days post-training to ensure that skills have transferred to the job.
• Document areas of concern for all trainees and review results with Training and Development Manager.
• Pursue on-going professional development in training delivery through attendance at webinars and meetings for training professionals.
• Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
• Develops teaching outlines and determines appropriate instructional methods to use in a variety of settings (e.g., group instruction, workshops, individual training, etc.).
• Selects or develops appropriate teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstrations and practices, multimedi a visual aids, job aids, and computer tutorials.
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree preferred; GED/High School diploma with college courses in English or Education acceptable with 2+yr training experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with others.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• 2+ year of pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience preferred
• 2+ year of training experience
• Enthusiastic and high energy
