Job summary The Program Coordinator assists with the management and administration of the NHC Pittsburgh program.
The program focuses on decreasing disparities in local healthcare delivery systems and promoting health.
The coordinator supports member recruitment, training, and communication activities.

Responsibilities • Review member timesheets for content, accuracy, and completeness.
• Maintain member files to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps rules and regulations.
• Chair member committees and oversee their activities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies for member training and development.
• Assist in member application review, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
• Manage NHC communication initiatives and social media presence.
• Assist in organizing and implementing program events.
• Represent NHC and AmeriCorps at various regional events.
• Collect and communicate with NHC alumni network.
• Assist Program Manager with Pre-Service Orientation for new members.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products.
• Experience using social media for professional purposes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Experience taking initiative and achieving results with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in professional social media utilization and website management.
• Pass applicable background checks and drug screen.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social work, or a related field.

Benefits • Rate: $20 per hour.
• Grant funded position through June 30, 2026.
• Possibility of continuation to full-time employment with Allegheny County.
• Health insurance available through the contracting agency if employment begins before June 1, 2024.
