Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is an indirect position that will include supervision of hourly or salaried quality department personnel and management of various aspect of the Quality Management System ( QMS ). This position will report to the Director of Quality, and work with them to improve the QMS at PSEMC . The position will require significant involvement in strategic improvement by developing new processes and procedures that will ensure improved quality and efficiencies in a variety of areas across the organization.

+ Develop and lead key metrics for various functions of quality. Train users on the effective use of the metrics and ensure they sustain. Assist in driving positive results in all quality metrics.

+ Act as primary driver of strategic process improvements in the quality organization. Work directly with the Quality director to develop a strategic process priority plan, and lead teams and projects to ensure that projects are implemented in a timely manner and are sustained by the organization.

+ Supervise all direct reports, providing prioritization, assignments, development, and goals. Implement process improvements to improve quality and efficiency in any assigned departments.

+ Assist Mfg. Quality Engineers in Failure Review Boards ( FRB ), Problem Solving Process ( PSP ), projects and as needed.

+ Responsible for leading improvements efforts around defect reduction, corrective action performance and process control/adherence.

+ Facilitate and support Quality Audits as the need arises.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – External/internal:

+ 5+ years’ experience as a quality professional; Proven knowledge of GD&T.

+ Previous supervisory experience a plus.

+ Strong background in correction actions/program solving.

Education and Experience:

+ BS Degree in related field or comparable work experience.
