The Alliance Manager, Medical and Scientific Affairs for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with external organizations, including academic institutions, healthcare providers, government, and industry partners. The role involves collaboration across various departments to support medical research, education, and patient care initiatives.

This position is part of the Medical and Scientific Affairs and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Medical and Scientific Affairs team  and report to the Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs responsible for innovation and evidence development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute strategies for building and maintaining alliances that align with the organization's medical affairs objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management & Cross Functional Collaboration: Oversee joint projects with alliance partners, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.  Work closely with internal teams such as clinical research, regulatory affairs, marketing, and sales to integrate alliance activities with overall business goals.
  • Compliance and Reporting : Ensure all alliance activities comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards; provide regular reports to senior management on the status and outcomes of partnerships.
  • Market Analysis and Insight : Monitor industry, medical and scientific trends and provide insights to guide the strategic direction of alliances.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree Bachelor’s degree in life science, healthcare, business administration field with 8+ years exp. OR Master’s degree in field with 6+ years exp. OR Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years
    in life sciences, healthcare, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, MD) preferred.
  • Proven experience in alliance management, business development, or a similar role in the diagnostic, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong understanding of medical affairs and its role within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and management skills.
  • Proactive, with a high level of initiative and problem-solving ability.

The salary range for this role is $132K-$150K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
