Our work depends on a Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR) Reporting Strategist joining our team to support Federal EHR HIT Modernization program activities. At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Cerner EHR Reporting Strategist supporting an EHR modernization program, you will be trusted to be a subject matter expert in a matrixed team responsible for creating reporting requirements, developing reports and analytics, understanding, and applying vendor technology roadmaps, ensuring standards integration, health information management compliance, and providing mission critical support to our customer. HOW A C ERNER EHR REPORTING STRATEGIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Serving as a clinical, financial and operational reporting subject matter expert, playing a key role in the development of automated, scheduled or ad-hoc reports and datasets within the Cerner portfolio of solutions.
  • Providing client experience and understanding to a broad, organizationally matrixed team of developers and the broader program members.
  • Staying abreast of various vendor functional and technical roadmaps, and planning integration of new capabilities into program needs.
  • Developing Cerner Millennium CCL-based (Cerner Command Language) reporting as well as Cerner HealtheIntent HealtheEDW and HealtheAnaytics reporting and analytics per customer and project specifications.
  • Providing expert guidance into the collection of reporting requirements and design.
  • Working alongside the Data Management and Interoperability teams, and the customer, to analyze key clinical, financial and administrative data for potential reporting needs.
  • Working alongside the Validation teams, assessing and developing test cases for reporting use case scenarios.
  • Leading and training a team of reporting specialists at varying levels (functional, technical) who will be dealing with report development.
  • Creating documentation for tracking, prioritization, and resolution of issues detected related to report development.
  • Providing training on reporting and analytics tools to the customer.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Cerner reporting and analytics platforms (Millennium and HealtheIntent).
  • 8+ years' experience with Cerner reporting platforms (CCL and HealtheIntent).
  • Experience managing small teams of report and analytics developers.
  • Experience working with Cerner data structures and tools.
  • Experience optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience in data visualization tools, especially Tableau.
  • Experience with data transformation and healthcare data standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work successfully with different teams and co-workers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Knowledge of health and health finance terminology
  • Knowledge of health privacy regulations (HIPAA, 42CFR Part II, etc.).
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with big data technologies.
  • Experience in federal projects and familiarity with HHS EPLC processes.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks if necessary, handle changing priorities, be detail oriented, and able to work independently.
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
