MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST

Seeking a dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: Collaborate with completed orders to accurately bill insurance companies for patient services.
Manage past due claims, gather necessary information for insurance submissions, and handle claim denials efficiently.
Ensure compliance with industry rules and regulations regarding billing practices.
Confirm readiness of orders by verifying essential documents such as delivery tickets, pick up tickets, and prescriptions.
Organize workload according to branch assignments provided by the Billing Manager.
Handle billing and collections for various types of insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and workman's compensation.
Maintain meticulous records of billing activities and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and request renewal authorizations as required.
Document all communication with insurance companies or patients in the billing software system.
Collaborate with the Billing Manager on working the accounts receivable report.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Preferably, at least one year of clerical or office experience.
Prior knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, private insurance billing, or collections experience is advantageous.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Education: High School Diploma Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: Proficiency in manual or electronic processing of reimbursement claims.
Ability to request and manage assignments of benefits, prescriptions, and other necessary information for billing purposes.
Prompt communication of any issues or concerns that may affect the accuracy or timeliness of reimbursement processes.
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Willingness to undertake additional duties within the scope of training, as assigned.
