Position Summary:
The Respiratory Care Manager will manage all respiratory care services for the purpose of delivering optimal care in a therapeutic and cost effective manner. Is responsible for helping in meeting Joint Commission Standards of patient care and Standards of Respiratory Care Practice. Will plan and implement overall Respiratory Care policies, procedures and services. Assists in hiring and retaining competent employees. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Communication and collaboration with the Director of Respiratory Care Services are essential for effective management. Has 24/7 responsibility /oversight of all shifts. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education & Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a minimum of five years experience or a Bachelor of Management and minimum of three years experience .
Licensure: Current BLS Card and licensure by the State of Missouri as a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner
