This is a great opportunity for someone looking to transition from public to private and growth in their career!Why join us?-Incredible healthcare benefitsGrowing IndustryPosition due to growth and joining a high performing teamHybrid work SchedulePTO and other strong benefitsJob Details-The Senior Associate will report to the Manager of Technical and Financial Reporting and must have a knowledge of US GAAP accounting, SEC reporting requirements, and the SOX control environment.The Senior Associate will have significant responsibilities related to the Company‘s financial reporting and technical accounting matters, including:Preparing accounting for various financial instruments, including derivative financial instruments and renewable energy credits, as well as performing consolidation, cash flow statement, and variance analysis.Assisting in the preparation of consolidated and project-level financial statements/footnotes and SEC reporting documents, such as 10-Q/K and Form 8-Ks, and organizing supporting schedules and details in a financial reporting tie-out package. Enhancing support schedules by identifying methods to increase automation and ease of update of the financials, and assisting in XBRL tagging process.Conducting technical accounting research and documentation and ensuring control compliance for technical accounting matters, including debt transactions, hedges, business combinations, and stock-based compensation.Regularly reviewing FASB and SEC pronouncements, appraising the financial reporting team on those that can have a material impact on the Company, and leading the effort to implement those pronouncements by working with the relevant cross-functional teams to ensure applicable compliance requirements are timely met.Providing accounting assistance during special projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, as well as operational accounting support to business segments. This includes researching the matter, operationalizing the accounting solution, helping the process owner implement the solution, and effectively monitoring until proper handover and sign-off is achieved.Maintaining the accounting policy manual, updating it for new pronouncements and/or operational changes on an as-needed basis, working closely with the SOX team to ensure the manual stays current with the ever-evolving control environment, and codifying and communicating changes to the wider organization in a timely manner.Supporting assigned financial reporting process improvement initiatives by helping execute project strategies and plans and providing insight and recommendations for process improvements.Qualifications:Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting required, Master’s degree in Accounting preferred3 to 6 years’ experience in accountingBig 4 or large firm public accounting experience strongly preferredRelevant experience at a publicly traded enterprise and/or in public accounting requiredInterested in hearing more?
