Job Description - Senior Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist IV (Senior) will take on a multifaceted role that includes patient care, education, clinical research, and data quality improvement initiatives.

The position demands a dynamic individual capable of developing and overseeing therapeutic programs, as well as guiding interdisciplinary
teams and community partners towards achieving clinical excellence.

The job involves evaluating and planning patient programs, leading clinical and research initiatives, setting performance standards, instructing caregivers,
maintaining documentation, working within interdisciplinary teams, supervising and mentoring clinical staff, maintaining department equipment,
pursuing professional development, and assisting in the creation of treatment protocols and policies.

  • *Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
  • *Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement program development, evaluation and performance improvement/performance evaluation measures within an assigned area.
  • Possesses high level of clinical skill and leadership

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy.
  • Graduate degree in Physical Therapy or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years experience in Physical Therapy.
  • Experience in pediatrics and/or rehabilitation and treatment preferred, but not required.
  • Participation in publications or research in the field of physical therapy

RELATED TRAINING:

  • Must have or be eligible for license to practice physical therapy in the State of Maryland.
