We are looking for team members who will serve compassionately, contribute & collaborate, deliver quality and be accountable.

What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary Information:

$32.51 - $46.25 per hour

Work Hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Flex as Needed)

What You'll Do:

Serves as Community Reintegration Coordinator (CRC) & supervises assigned staff; plans, directs & implements assigned programs & monitors the operation of the programs; coordinates long-term / extended stay patients; meet individually with patients to establish review of goals & progress; tracks treatment plan goals & alignment of the Regional Psychiatric Hospital (RPH) Standardized Movement Levels for forensic patients; works with the treatment team members, including physicians, registered nurses (RN), Therapeutic Program Workers (TPW) & other critical members; drives the patients’ regular movement & community skill enhancement towards recovery based goals; develops, monitors & amends a quality improvement program for assigned departments; establishes & periodically re-evaluates & revises goals & objectives; provides direct supervision to assigned staff (e.g., gives day to day direction; effectively recommends hiring, discharge, disciplinary actions & promotions of assigned staff); assists in the development of policies & procedures; ensures compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) & other standards as identified by NBH; monitors & signs off on request for leaves; completes performance evaluations & competency assessments utilizing the State of Ohio Performance Tools; ensures areas of supervision are in compliance with departmental, state & federal laws & union agreements; serves a consultant to teams to develop appropriate placement options for long term patients.

Works closely & collaboratively with the Clinical Services Director; Director of Social Work and Legal Assurance Administration (LAA) Department in the coordination of movement levels for forensic patients; attends necessary court hearings to assist with patient movement levels & conditional release; monitors the completion of treatment plans, progress notes, & aftercare services plans; track & utilize spreadsheets, Electronic Health Record (EHR) / EPIC & other tools to assist with Utilization Management; utilize OhioMHAS approved office productivity software, approved Intranet & Internet resources & information systems in an appropriate work related manner as specified in the NBH Personal Computer Usage Guidelines for Employees; may be required to travel; provides clinical supervision toward independent licensure for social work staff as needed & provides training supervision to social work interns; solicits cooperation & interest of public & private health services agencies (i.e. Mental Health Boards, Behavioral Health Agencies, etc.), Labor & Management organizations, Employer/Employment groups & professional rehabilitation groups to expand & enhance services; participates on community boards & committees committed to enhancing employment opportunities & recovery-based services & county mental health recovery initiatives, state & county employment initiatives, state & county rehabilitation initiative).

Serves on committees that regulate policy formation, program development & community relations or conducts meetings: ensures family involvement in the treatment planning process, establishes a mechanism for family education & support; attends meetings, conferences, workshops & training programs in relation to social work & hospital-mandated training; maintains LISW & participates in other training to advance knowledge of evidenced based treatment for the severely mentally ill, dually diagnosed & supervision of staff; provides coverage for any Social Work absence including completion of assessments, progress notes, discharges; performs other social work duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications Requires current license as independent social worker (i.e., LISW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.27; 12 mos. exp. providing clinical supervision. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10, 2014 is exempt from current licensure as independent social worker (i.e. LISW) requirement.
